De mon parcours professionnel dans l’architecture et la charpente est née une pratique personnelle du mobilier et de l’objet, nourrie par les connaissances et les techniques acquises au fil des années.
Mes pièces sont conçues et réalisées avec une attention particulière portée aux détails, au choix des matériaux et à l’expression formelle.
La genèse d'une forme
Une première idée ouvre la recherche. Le dessin et le modèle sculpté se répondent tout au long du processus de conception. L’un explore la ligne, l’autre éprouve le volume. Par ajustements successifs, la forme se précise, guidée par une recherche de structure, de proportion et de tension, jusqu’à s’imposer comme une évidence.
Du dessin à la matière
Le dessin se prolonge dans le geste. À l’atelier, les derniers ajustements s’opèrent au contact de la matière. Chaque étape du processus de fabrication contribue à l’équilibre final de la forme.
Je privilégie les pièces uniques et les petites séries, une manière de travailler qui permet à ma pratique de rester ouverte et en constante évolution.
With a professional background in architecture and carpentry, I have developed an independent practice in contemporary furniture and objects, shaped by the knowledge and techniques accumulated over the years.
My pieces are designed and made with particular attention to detail, the careful selection of materials, and formal expression.
The Genesis of a Form
Each project begins with an initial idea. Sketches and sculpted models engage in an ongoing dialogue throughout the design process. One explores the line, the other tests the volume. Through successive refinements, the form gradually takes shape, guided by a search for structure, proportion, and tension, until it asserts itself with a sense of necessity.
From Design to Material
Design extends into the act of making. In the workshop, the final adjustments emerge through direct engagement with the material. Every stage of the making process contributes to the final balance of the form.
I favour one-of-a-kind pieces and small series, allowing my practice to remain open and ever-evolving.
Aus meinem beruflichen Werdegang in Architektur und Zimmerei ist eine eigenständige Praxis im Bereich zeitgenössischer Möbel und Objekte entstanden, geprägt von den Kenntnissen und Techniken, die ich im Laufe der Jahre erworben habe.
Meine Arbeiten werden mit besonderer Aufmerksamkeit für Details, die sorgfältige Auswahl der Materialien und den formalen Ausdruck entworfen und gefertigt.
Die Entstehung einer Form
Am Anfang jedes Projekts steht eine erste Idee. Zeichnung und skulpturales Modell treten während des gesamten Entwurfsprozesses in einen Dialog. Das eine erkundet die Linie, das andere erprobt das Volumen. Durch aufeinanderfolgende Verfeinerungen gewinnt die Form zunehmend an Klarheit, geleitet von der Suche nach Struktur, Proportion und Spannung, bis sie sich als stimmig erweist.
Vom Entwurf zum Material
Der Entwurf setzt sich in der Umsetzung fort. In der Werkstatt entstehen die letzten Anpassungen im direkten Kontakt mit dem Material. Jeder Schritt des Herstellungsprozesses trägt zum endgültigen Gleichgewicht der Form bei.
Ich bevorzuge Unikate und Kleinserien – eine Arbeitsweise, die meine Praxis offenhält und kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt.
